Meet Landon: A True Community Hero
Bravery has no age, and Landon, a kindergartener at Pelican Elementary School, proved exactly that.
When Landon’s father suddenly experienced a seizure at home, he found himself in a frightening situation that most adults would struggle to handle. Although he had never witnessed a seizure before, Landon immediately recognized that something was wrong.
Instead of freezing or panicking, he sprang into action.
Landon quickly found his cousin for help. While his cousin called 9-1-1, Landon focused on caring for his 8-month-old sister, comforting her and remaining calm until first responders arrived.
His awareness, quick thinking, and compassion made a real difference during an emergency.
For his extraordinary actions, Landon was recognized through the Cape Coral Police Department’s Do The Right Thing Program—an initiative that celebrates young people who demonstrate outstanding character, responsibility, and good decision-making.
We couldn’t be prouder of you, Landon. Your courage is an inspiration to our entire community.
